Today I was packing some books and I took out this old book that my mom had given me when I was very much younger, maybe 10 years old or so. It's called My Daughter, My Friend. It's by Irene Chua and contains the letters that she wrote to her daughter from the age of 17 to 21 years old.
Inside I found a really sweet quote from Roald Dahl's book, The Twits.
'A person who has good thoughts cannot be ugly. You can have a wonky nose and a crooked mouth and a double-chin and stick-out teeth, but if you have good thoughts they will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely.'What a nice quote.
