it's thursday, but a day without you has no name

Today was the last day of prelims. Hooraaaaaaaay. After school I went to town with char and kwee. They bought some clothes and I bought a pair of earrings and Keane's CD.
We also watched Dodgeball, which was a great comedy with tons of brainless humour. We saw the sneaks for White Chick, which was totally hilarious.
And while at Warehouse, some really nice music was playing, and I got down the name of the artist..and the lady actually gave me the first names of the two members in the band combined together, so I had some trouble sourcing out the group. Well anyway I eventually found it, and it's called Jazzamor, and you can visit their site here. Their music is jazzy, slow and sexy and a lady does the vocals. If you like this genre of music, you might want to try Jack Johnson(click for link). His music is relaxing, sort of like the kind of beautiful beach music without the shouting and too many drum beats, and it can be quite meaningful too.
Actually the bio girls in my class are supposed to go to school tomorrow for some silly remedial, but Mrs Cha(bio teacher) cancelled it today during flag raising this morning.
I'm so glad prelims are over. At least we can take a breather now. The papers weren't too bad, but I'm really disappointed with myself for history cause I screwed up my question on the Cultural Revolution. Well.. blame it on myself for not studying studying that section of China well. God has been good though; He has answered my prayers.
Hopefully, tomorrow I'll be going with char to sentosa to chill out. If her mom allows her to get out, that is. Would be great to just be on the warm golden sand, with the wind blowing, reading a novel or writing in my diary(a personal and private handwritten one) while getting a tan.
Soon we are going to have an avalanche of talks by some JCs, and I still haven't made up my mind on where to go. I'll go for the first three months, get a feel of it and decide whether to go the poly or jc.
What I dislike about jc is that it doesn't seem like a good place to go if you want to prepare yourself for the working world, and everyone looks the same - short skirts, nice legs, sports shoes with ankle socks. It's just so...monotonous? At least in poly there's more freedom, and it seems like a good way to learn, since there'll be projects and attachments. Surely the best way to know your trade is to do it? But then again, if I choose the route of a poly, I'll miss taking subjects like English, History and Mathematics. It feels like if I go to jc I'll be outgrowing my already overgrown shoes. Poly seems the way to wake up from this whole...cage or boundary of secondary school life, a fresh start, something new, different.
